This month we take a trip to northern Minnesota through the pages of Linda LeGarde Grover’s (Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe) new novel “The Road Back to Sweetgrass.” The present is linked to past as the story follows the lives of several Native Americans. Issues of federal Indian policy push the characters to understand more about the resiliency of their tribal nation. Along the way love, loss and family dynamics motivate the characters in this book to reveal what they are really made of in the face of challenging moments. We invite you to join us for our May Book of the Month when we visit with Ojibwe author and professor Linda LeGarde Grover.
