For the longest time, history books and local festivals celebrated California’s missions with pride. But the missions have another legacy when it comes to that state’s Indigenous people that includes slavery, abuse, disease and massacres that cut the Native population to a fifth of what it was. We’ll find out how California is coming to grips with its past treatment of Native people.

Be sure & pay attention to educational governing boards, educational non profits, museums, universities, student organizations, federally funded NDN Ed., etc ? And dig deep into who runs FB pages, non profits, their board members & agendas!!

Why so many BIASED committees w/duplicate membership?
If your goal is to “DE” colonize as you claimed to share/stake holders then why appoint a STEM-HSI researcher in charge of the “native resource center!” Mentorship program and have her play music in SPANISH?!?! Isn’t that another language of a different “colonizer?!?!” Yet, she wanted to “educate” me ? at a US funded, US located, ON US Treaty territory …….ummmm no gracias!!!
Why so many committees “Aztec governance, Aztec education, Aztec identity, ad nauseam, all for something that is identified by President Delatorre as “just a word?!?!” But yet intentionally use biased duplicate membership, including but not limited to the LYING Latin studies researcher that claimed to be on a NON existent KUMEYAAY land acknowledgment committee, yes, Ms Ramona L Perez!!!!

When SD Governor Noem removed the Oceti Sakowin curriculum from the public education system, this same US DOE Secretary responded with to the effect of “ while Native American history is important withOUT the funding I find it difficult to provide a mandate.”
Yet shortly thereafter the CA Dept of Ed. released their newly required Ethnic Studies curriculum, which conveniently included NOT a CA tribe’s language but the NAHUAL language in the children’s chant & described is “an American Indian language of the SOUTHWEST!” Where is CA TRIBAL REPRESENTATION?!?! That others say matters?!?! Because it doesn’t suit the agenda being implemented they baby steps!!
And $10 million for a “NAHUAL indigenous school in LOS ANGELES!” From LAUSD-insisting upon their benefiting from “indigenous rights” but yet those w/sovereignty & US treaty in SD are DISrespected ?!?!
ALL 50 states receiving his NEH grants in a strategized & organized manner to push this ideology! To “educate the educators!” Including AZ to “efface & palimpsest” document(s) things that make go hmmm..
